Question: How does Loudly Stated price embroidery?
Answer: Embroidery prices are based on number of stitches in the design and the quantity of same items being ordered. For instance, if you had a design of 6000 stitches, and need 10 polos and 20 hats embroidered with the same design, the hats and polos will be counted as separate quantities from each other because they are two different types of items. However, if you have 10 shirts and 10 polos, they will counted together as a group of 20 pieces. The larger your design is, and the more dense the colors, the more stitches your design will require. We will help you with your design to ensure that it not only meets your needs, but your budget as well.
Question: What is the embroidery process and can I get an estimate before I order?
Answer: Embroidery used to be done by hand. Now everything has been digitized and embroidery is done by very large and complex machines. It takes a skilled and knowledgeable worker about 10 minutes to complete each piece being embroidered, so there is a lot of time involved. This is why embroidery is usually more costly than screen printing.
We are able to provide estimates based on our experience, but these are very approximate. If you would like a more detailed estimate, a deposit is required to cover the completion of your artwork so that it can be submitted for embroidery digitizing. Once submitted, we will be able to see the approximate number of stitches that your design will need, and from there, we can estimate the cost of your order. However, this is still an approximate stitch count, although usually estimated on the high end.
Question: Can I have a sample embroidered first?
Answer: Sure can! We need to have finished digital artwork, submitted and digitized, before our embroiderer can do that for you. Typically, we request a deposit to cover our artists time and the digitizing fee for the embroidery file. The cost of the deposit will depend on the size and complexity of your design. Then, a sample can embroidered on an item or on a simple piece of fabric. Please call us for more details about samples.
